The Southern California Black Worker Hub advocates for the economic empowerment of Black workers across our region by supporting Black Worker Centers in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and San Diego. Together, we are fighting for economic inclusion, opportunity, and dignity for Black workers who have been systematically excluded from pathways to prosperity.
For generations, Black workers and their families have faced disproportionate barriers to stable housing, quality healthcare, safe communities, and well-paid work. Today, those inequities remain at the center of overlapping crises affecting Black communities throughout Southern California.
Black Worker Centers—powered by organizers, partners, policymakers, and community members—are pushing back. They are expanding access to quality jobs, challenging employment discrimination, and building real pathways to family-sustaining careers. Their work brings us closer to a Southern California where Black workers can thrive, contribute, and lead.

who we are
Southern California Black Worker Hub for Regional Organizing expands the field of Black worker organizing by consolidating and coordinating functions, sharing best practices, and collectivizing sustainability approach needed to develop Black Worker Centers across the region and unify Black worker voice and power in Southern California and beyond.
The Hub supports the three SoCal Black Worker Centers in San Diego, Inland Empire, Los Angeles and are supported by nearly half a dozen So Cal Black-led and Black empowering organizations dedicated to worker rights and building sufficient Black worker power to reverse the Black jobs crisis in Southern California where more than 1.5 million Black Californians live and work.
