Black Workers Stand Strong Against Workplace Discrimination

Thank you for standing up for what’s right and supporting Senate Bill (SB) 1340! This critical legislation will empower local and state agencies to enforce workplace discrimination laws, ensuring that workers are treated with dignity and respect.

Despite legal protections under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), discrimination continues to plague our workplaces, with Black workers bearing the brunt of it. SB 1340 is our chance to change that and create a more equitable society for all.

By expanding enforcement capabilities to local agencies, SB 1340 will provide timely resolutions to discrimination complaints and strengthen protections for Black workers.
